Michael and Amy have been with my parents for the last week. They got in late last night and we started their detox today. There’s quite a bit of whining and crying, mainly because they’re dead tired. And they miss the people who say, “Yes” before a question is even asked.
The duration of Grandparent Detox depends on the amount of time the grandchild spent with the ultimate yes men. It usually takes half the time they spent with them. Michael and Amy were with them for 10 days. This is going to be a long, long week.
