Update on Both Teams!! Yeah!

It's a happy day at my house; both Amy's and Michael's leaders posted updates! First, Amy's, then Michael's:

HONEY CAMP LAGOON BELIZE (07075)

Moving Right Along ( 2007-07-17)
Honey Camp Lagoon is moving right along. We hope to get at least 50 ft. of sidewalk poured in the next two days. On Saturday we went to the town square and did presentations every hour. In-between presentations we handed out coloring books to the kids, tracts, and gospel coins. And we invited people to come see our next presentation. While we didn't get a large response, we know that seeds were planted.

On Sunday we went to a church in Orange Walk Town. We did a presentation (songs, puppets, and a testimony) for the congregation. After the service we got to talk to the people there. We are learning more about God in our classes and memory verses and growing closer to God and to each other.

HONDURAS BIKE (07070)

Painting Buildings and Weeding Gardens ( 2007-07-17)
This past week, our team continued to work on small projects here at the base. They painted buildings and weeded gardens. The team walked to San Isidro and had fun and fellowship with local youth. The girls both locals and team members competed against the local boys and our team boys in a game of soccer. Everyone participated in playing and cheering each other on. Ashley whizzed all over the field and often held the ball at bay from the boys. It was a lot of fun. Josh shared his testimony.

It was a long walk to and from San Isidro and many of the team members really appreciated the efforts many people have to make to get to church and related activities.
