Ten years ago I was at the doctor's office with Rebecca; she had yet another ear infection. I had no idea the Twin Towers were falling while I was bemoaning the thought of another round of penicillin for my baby. As I was checking out, the news was on and the office was silent. Suddenly, an ear infection seemed like a blessing.
