Was he going to the service at Perimeter this morning? It was something else -- seemed to be a bigger turnout (at least from the parking lot) than in past years. Please thank him for me!
My Dad was in Vietnam as well - I had never thanked him until this morning after reading your blog post. We tend to take so much for granted and we may soon see that more clearly as the power shifts in the white house...thanks for the reminder to thank our veterans. Your blog is great!
My dad was in Vietnam as well, in 69-70. Small world! :) Just one more thing we have in common. :)

Traci,
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to think we were separated at birth...! Was your dad in the Air Force, too?
No, the army. :)

Hey Christie!
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law died in Vietnam when he was 18. So YOUNG! Thanks for bringing attention to these fabulous men and women.

John,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you thanked your Dad - it's only been recently that I've realized the sacrifices my Dad made to serve our country.
Thanks for the kind words about my blog!
